2020 Virtual IEEE Authorship Workshops - The Netherlands

In keeping with the IEEE mission to foster technological innovation, IEEE has developed free virtual authorship workshops offering advice on everything from how the IEEE publishing process works, to basic writing tips and submitting a manuscript. 

The goal of this series is to enable engineers, faculty, researchers, authors, and industry professionals to help advance technology and their careers by enhancing their ability to get published and share their research with the scholarly community.

We encourage you to submit questions prior to the workshop in the Questions/Comments field in the registration form.

In the first session, Eszter Lukács and Massimo Mischi will focus on the IEEE authorship process for researchers and PhD students. We will share tips on how to select an appropriate IEEE periodical or conference and submit your paper. This presentation will help you to navigate IEEE’s peer review and submission processes and discuss some of the top reasons why papers get rejected. Eszter will then discuss Open Access options at IEEE and resources available to authors to help them through the process.

Paul will also provide an overview of publishing options which the IEEE offers to authors, along with resources that the IEEE makes available to authors to help them through the process.
